Vedic Gayatri Mantra - traslation

ॐ भूर् भुः स्वः  

तत सवितुर्वरेण्यं 

भर्गो देवस्य धीमहि 

धियो योनः प्रचोदयात ॥

                     - Rig Veda (3.62.10)

Om Bhoor Bhuvah Suvaha
Tat saviturvarenyam
Bhargo devasya dheemahe
Dhiyo yonah prachodayat ||


Translation:

I meditate/contemplate upon that stimulant/essence which is worshiped by the gods, which is self eminent/luminous, the light which makes me move (stimulates me).

ॐ भूर् भुः स्वः - Om Bhoor Bhuvah Suvaha (the first 3 lokas). A prologue of mystical significance?

तत - That

सवितुः - Stimulant/essence

वरेण्यं  - being worshiped by
